Why the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer Is Perfect for Savannah Drivers
Chevrolet is known for its well-designed SUVs, and if you’re looking for a small model with a big personality, we recommend checking out the 2025 Trailblazer. As your premier Chevy dealer near Savannah, we here at Crossroads Chevrolet GMC understand the unique needs of drivers in this corner of Tennessee, and we think you’re going to love all that the 2025 Trailblazer has to offer. A subcompact SUV with awesome features inside and out, the Trailblazer embodies its name by being ready for road trips and adventures. It’s also great for daily commutes and running errands around town. Want to get to know the 2025 Trailblazer better? Below, we’ll review some of the highlights of this year’s model that we think will enhance your daily travels around Savannah.
The Off-Road-Ready ACTIV Trim
We’re always excited to show the Trailblazer to drivers who tell us they want off-road capabilities but need small dimensions for fuel efficiency and handling reasons. That’s because the Trailblazer has an off-road trim—something you don’t often find in the subcompact SUV segment. The ACTIV trim is the Trailblazer’s off-road-ready trim that’s perfect for exploring the dirt paths around Pickwick Landing State Park, as well as any other unpaved destinations you want to visit. It has a suspension specifically tuned for off-road use, so it’s going to get you a smooth ride even when the road is bumpy.
The ACTIV trim also gets sport-terrain tires, which are great for maintaining traction on a variety of surfaces, including mud, dirt, and snow. Plus, you’ll get a functional skid plate on this trim—something you find on the most rugged off-roaders—which can protect the under parts of your vehicle when the roads get messy and unpredictable. A black mesh grille and titanium chrome accents add to the off-road style of this model.
Several Available Drive Modes
You’ll be surprised by how equipped the Trailblazer is to thrive in a range of environments. It has several available drive modes to thank for that. First, you have Normal mode. It puts fuel efficiency and comfort first and will be ideal for everyday driving around Savannah, zipping across Route 64 to run errands or pick up kids from school. You’ll likely stay mostly in this mode in town.
Then, there’s All-Wheel Drive mode, which is only available on AWD models. When activated, it can sense rear wheel slippage and send torque where it’s needed most for optimal command on wet or slippery roads, as well as sand and dirt. Next, there’s Snow/Ice mode, which adjusts acceleration to give you traction on snow and ice roads (not that we get much of that around here). Want to have some fun? Select Sport mode. It adjusts steering efforts and transmission shifting for a sportier behind-the-wheel feel.
As we said, the Trailblazer might be small, but it has a big personality! In fact, it has many personalities. With these modes that you can select at the push of a button, you can experience your Trailblazer’s power and performance in several ways. So, if you thought you needed a big SUV for performance versatility, think again.
Standard Flat-Folding Front Passenger Seat
Here’s a feature we love to show off about the 2025 Trailblazer because it defies what drivers think they know about subcompact SUVs. You can fold down the front seat of the 2025 Trailblazer to create up to 8.5 ft of cargo length. So when you want to take a boogie board or small kayak to the Tennessee River to cool down on those hot Savannah summer days, you can just fold down that front seat and make room for it.
This is also a great feature to have when you pick up a rug or coffee table at a store in town. Need to bring home a Christmas tree? Put down that front seat and get it in your Trailblazer. Most people don’t expect this amount of cargo space in a small SUV, but it’s just one more way the 2025 Trailblazer will have you rethinking what you know about small SUVs. By the way, you can also fold down the rear seats in a variety of ways to create other cargo configurations when you need it.
Teen Driver Technology
Finally, let’s talk about the Teen Driver feature. We love to show this feature to parents whose children are reaching that age when they’re going to get their driver’s license. Letting your kid take the wheel and head out onto the open road without you can be stressful. You want to hold their hand through it. Do you wish you could put training wheels on the vehicle? With the Teen Driver function, you can provide extra protection in another way.
You can actually adjust some of the functions of the vehicle and decide what your teen can and can’t do. For example, you can limit how fast the vehicle can go, to reduce speeding. You can also limit how high the volume can go, to keep your teen from blasting their music so loudly that it distracts from their driving.
Additionally, you can see a Teen Driver report card. It will show you things like how often the Automatic Emergency Brake has to take over and the maximum speed driven. This report card gives you the opportunity to discuss safer driving habits with your teen. Plus, it reduces any chances for them to be, let’s just say, less than honest with you about how they’ve been driving. The report card doesn’t lie.
Savannah might be a nice, quiet place to raise kids, but nobody is ever ready to let their kids drive, no matter where they live. At least you can feel safer knowing that they’re in a vehicle that offers an additional layer of protection. Plus, since the Trailblazer is so affordable, it’s a reasonable vehicle to get a teen as their first vehicle so they can have wheels while still understanding the value of a dollar.
