Since it first hit the road for the 2007 model year, the GMC Acadia has established itself as one of the most impressive and beautiful SUVs out there. Of course, we’re going to say that—we’re a GMC Acadia dealer, after all—but you don’t have to just take our word for it; the evidence is clear from the moment you look at this stunning vehicle. The 2024 GMC Acadia is set to completely redefine everything we expect from this SUV, launching an all-new, third generation of the Acadia with a complete redesign that makes it bigger and better than any SUV we’ve seen in quite some time.
You’ll find a powerful engine under the hood of the Acadia, delivering an incredible driving experience that works perfectly with its larger design. “Larger” is definitely the word that springs to mind when looking at the all-new Acadia; it’s larger in size overall, and the interior is significantly larger than last year’s model, with more room inside for an additional passenger and a lot more cargo you can load up with. You’ll find a pair of large screens upfront inside the 2024 Acadia, both standard, with a large list of advanced safety features and more remarkable technology. Let’s take a closer look at what the large GMC Acadia is bringing to the road this year, and you’ll see why this is one of our favorite SUVs.
Redesigned with Bold Power
The biggest (pun very much intended) thing to note about the all-new GMC Acadia is that it has been fully redesigned for 2024 with stunning new looks and a more powerful and aggressive stance than last year’s model. We’ll get to more details about this increase in size in a moment, but along with this, GMC has also outfitted the Acadia with a single, powerful engine choice: a new 2.5L Turbocharged engine that delivers 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque, giving you plenty of muscle to enjoy your time on the road. Thanks to this powerful engine, the all-new Acadia can haul up to 5,000 lbs behind it when properly equipped for max towing, giving you tremendous freedom to get the most from your SUV.
Bigger Inside for Passengers and Cargo
This increase in size is most pronounced when you get inside the redesigned GMC Acadia and experience just how incredibly spacious it is. GMC’s engineers and designers have clearly put in a lot of work to create one of the most gorgeous and functional interiors we have ever seen in a while. It looks stunning and gives you a lot of room for everyone you need to bring along with you. Last year’s model had room inside for either six or seven passengers, depending on the seat configuration options you chose; for 2024, the Acadia now offers seating for either seven or eight passengers, depending on your choices. This means you can bring an extra person along, and all your passengers will have plenty of room to stretch out in.
Fortunately, this incredible design isn’t only useful for bringing people along—you also have plenty of room inside for everything else you need to have with you. The redesigned Acadia is both longer and taller than before; you get an increase of almost 80% more cargo space behind the third row of seats, with more than 36% more cargo room behind the second row compared to last generation. Overall, this is an increase of more than 23% for total cargo capacity, giving you incredibly functional space that is perfect for a day of shopping, loading up for a long road trip, or hauling amps to your band’s next gig.

Innovative Technology Inside and Out
All of that space inside the 2024 Acadia is great, but it might be wasted if GMC didn’t load it up with incredible tech features—fortunately, though, nothing is wasted here. The first thing you’re likely to notice when you get inside the all-new Acadia are the two incredible displays up front: there’s an 11-inch driver information center that makes it easy to keep an eye on important data, along with a massive, portrait-oriented 15-inch premium GMC Infotainment system display. Both screens are stunning and, most importantly, standard on every 2024 Acadia. These customizable displays include Google built-in functionality and more, giving you an incredible driving experience every time you get behind the wheel.
Improved AT4 Off-Road Capability
If you’re interested in taking your seven- or eight-passenger SUV off-road, you’re in luck because the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 trim is more rugged and capable than ever before. It has a one-inch higher ride height and a wider track than standard models, with 18-inch all-terrain tires to improve grip and traction when you’re on the trail or dealing with dirt roads. You’ll find an off-road-tuned suspension for a more comfortable and stable ride, plus Active Torque Control all-wheel drive, exclusive to the AT4 trim, with twin-clutch rear differentials to provide you with the best traction possible even in the roughest conditions. This is a stunning machine designed to go anywhere you can dream of.
Refined Denali Luxury
GMC has a reputation for making some of the most luxurious vehicles on the market, and the all-new Acadia is no exception, with one of the most refined and stunning Denali trims we’ve ever seen. For starters, you’ll find a distinctive exterior design with unique accents, a signature Denali grille, and available, all-new 22-inch machined aluminum wheels—the largest wheels ever featured on the Acadia. The interior continues this luxury theme with an available panoramic, pillar-to-pillar sunroof, authentic laser-etched wood details with Galvano chrome accents, and perforated leather-appointed heated and ventilated front seats. Add in the Bose Premium sound system with 12 speakers standard and 16 speakers available, and you have something truly extraordinary.

Advanced Safety Technology
For many years, the GMC Acadia has been an incredibly safe SUV with standard and available safety technologies designed to ensure you get home safely each day. However, for the all-new 2024 model, GMC has taken things to a different level entirely with an impressive list of standard advanced safety technologies. These include a Forward Collision Alert with Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, including Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking. You also get Front Pedestrian and Bicycle Braking to help keep everyone safer, a Following Distance Indicator, IntelliBeam High Beam Assist that can automatically turn your high beams on and off, and an HD Rear Vision Camera.
Standard features on the 2024 Acadia also include Rear Park Assist, a Rear Cross Traffic Braking system, and Blind Zone Steering Assist to help you avoid a collision with someone passing behind you or lurking in your blind spot. You get Rear Pedestrian Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, a Side Bicyclist Alert, Reverse Auto Braking, Enhanced Lane Keep Assist, and more, all standard on every trim. Honestly, we had to double-check this list because we thought for sure it contained available options, but all of these driver assistance features are standard on any 2024 GMC Acadia you choose.
The 2024 GMC Acadia Brings It All Home
Even the larger-than-life features and new options on the 2024 GMC Acadia barely scratch the surface of what it offers. GM’s incredible Super Cruise hands-free driving technology is now available for the Acadia. There is an available 8.0-inch reconfigurable head-up display that projects information onto your windshield for you. Add in this all-new SUV’s gorgeous looks, bold power, and an available Smart Sense Liftgate with presense recognition that makes loading and unloading your SUV easier than ever before, and you have a vehicle that leaves other SUVs behind.
